Specialist – Visual Arts

The Art program at Diamond Creek Primary School offers a wide range of activities and opportunities to develop skills. Over the year children are given age appropriate experiences that cover all the elements of an art program. Children draw, paint, build and construct 3D structures using a variety of materials, model using clays, mosaic and work with fabrics. Children work with wire, paper, plaster ……the list is endless. Our aim is to provide students with new skills and experiences that foster the child’s creativity and build personal self-esteem. Above all else lessons are fun and the Art room is a wonderful place to be!

All students will have an input into our ANZAC day displays and reflect on its meaning through a personal piece of Art work. We will then make a small gift for Mother’s day for our special mums.
