Parents and Friends TEAM. (Together We Achieve More)

 

The P.F.T. is the school's Parents and Friends fundraising association.  This is a group of parents who get together once a month and come up with ideas and plan social events for the school community and other events to raise much needed funds for our school to run to its full potential with up to date equipment.

 

 

For our school to run successfully, and offer more opportunities for our children, we have to rely on the support of our school community.All families may not be able to attend meetings, but there are many ways in which you can help out.  Listed below are some of the fundraising activities we are going to run throughout the upcoming year.  Information regarding these events will be sent home via flyers and always mentioned in the Wednesday Wrap, so please make sure to look out for them.

 

 

·         Special Lunch Days – we need parent helpers to help prepare & distribute lunches on the day. We try to have at least 2 special lunches per term.

 

·         Monday Assembly Cake Raffle – a nominated parent to bake a cake and bring to Monday assembly.  Tickets are $1 each and drawn at the end of assembly.

 

·         Mitre 10 BBQ –  a flyer for parent helpers to be sent home a few weeks beforehand.  On the day, we would love to see all families come and buy a snag or two.

 

·         Easter Raffle – prizes are made up from donations from the school community.    Tickets will come home for families to sell in the middle of March.

 

 

·         Mothers & Fathers Day Stalls – May & September.  Helpers needed to wrap gifts and run the stalls so that our kids can buy us all something special.

 

·         Shopping Tour – a fun way to get your Christmas shopping started.  A day of shopping without the hassles of parking. 

 

·         Christmas BBQ, Raffle & Carols - prizes are made up from donations from the school community.  Normally held the 2nd last week of term 4.

 

·         Our MAJOR fundraiser (normally a parent’s social night), is to be held mid-year.  Stay tuned for details.

 

·         There will also be smaller fundraising activities run throughout the year; further information will be distributed leading up to these.

 

The P.F.T. is also a great way to meet some of our other school families and we have a lot of fun and laughs along the way.

 

We are always looking for new ideas to improve our fundraising efforts and always welcome new faces to our meetings.  If you are unable to make the meetings (dates are always published in the Wednesday Wrap), please feel free to drop your ideas into the office or come and speak with one of the P.F.T. committee members.
